Our greatest fears come not from the unknown, but the known.

Another new character. Another glimpse at the larger story that lurks slightly below the surface. Another show of power from a mysterious character.

Who is The Woman With Sapphire Eyes? How can she do what she does? Does she come as a friend for Alza, or an enemy?

Similarly to Barsch, The Woman With Sapphire Eyes appears at a moment of desperation for our plucky heroine. Outnumbered, exhausted and unable to defend herself, Alza’s situation has a few parallels to her equally unlucky companion. However, whereas Barsch was all questions and gratitude, Alza maintains her stoic personality, despite witnessing what the new arrival is capable of. This, I believe, showcases her unique personality and air of apathy that she prefers to maintain.

Once again, The Woman With Sapphire Eyes is a sign that this story is much grander than initially promised, and that, with Awakening, I am attempting to transcend the staples of science fiction. Trust me, this story, and the series as a whole, is like nothing you have ever read.

Whether you are content with merely reading the occasional post, or whether you will take the plunge and buy the book is up to you. However, if you do, I promise that you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you for listening! The next Behind The Scenes, “Again, I am Alone” reunites us with our favourite hermit, look forward to it!
